Nominations for GKCAA's 2026
Heart of Kansas City Awards will open in August!
The 2026 Heart of Kansas City Awards will be presented on Tuesday, November 3, 2026!
Do you know an organization or individual whose excellence has advanced the tourism and hospitality industry in KC? The Greater Kansas City Attractions Association wishes to honor these organizations/individuals through the Heart of Kansas City Awards program!The recognition program features five categories:
Individual Achievement
Presented to a respected and distinguished individual who has demonstrated extraordinary achievement and/or service in helping to further the goals, objectives and spirit of the tourism and hospitality industry for many years.
Special Achievement
Presented to honor an individual or organization who coordinated or adapted a unique event, program or campaign to go above and beyond in furthering the goals, objectives and spirit of the tourism and hospitality industry.
Allied Member of the Year
Presented to honor an allied member (non-attraction) that demonstrates excellence in supporting the tourism and hospitality industry.
Ambassador of the Year
Presented to honor an outstanding front of house staff member OR volunteer who demonstrates exemplary effort in customer service while helping to further the goals, objectives and spirit of the tourism and hospitality industry.
Attraction of the Year
Presented to honor an attraction that has an impact on and demonstrates excellence in advancing the goals, objectives and spirit of the tourism and hospitality industry.
When nominating, unless otherwise stated, please focus on achievements during the last twelve months. Nominees must be current association members. Self-nominations are accepted.
